Mad Science

I believe you need to be at least a little insane to even think of being a scientist. On the other hand patience is what you need the most.

Lab work is basically the repetitions of the experiments sometimes to find the best conditions, sometimes to see the reproducibility, sometimes to have a clue about the unknown, and so on. But sometimes you have to do it again just because you have made a highly stupid mistake. Happened to me lately. It reminds me of Paul the Postdoc of the Labtimes online.
